GRLevel3 is most useful when you can describe a change without turning the software into a prediction tool.
What to compare
- Reflectivity: where precipitation is appearing and changing.
- Velocity: wind motion information that needs trained interpretation and context.
- Time: whether the frame is current and whether the pattern is moving or intensifying.
- Official overlays: warning polygons and other authoritative information shown in the workspace.
Practice a factual report
State the source and time first, then the location and movement. Example: “GRLevel3 reflectivity at 6:42 p.m. shows a line of storms west of Dickson County moving east; official warning status is being monitored.” Do not add conclusions the data does not support.
