WC4DC.org is being built as an active extension of the Dickson County Amateur Radio Club—not simply a collection of pages. Every major feature should help someone learn, operate, participate, serve, or connect.
Five verbs guide the site.
If a feature does not help someone do one of these things, it probably does not need to become another permanent destination.
Make amateur radio understandable before expecting someone to know the terminology.
Turn information into a net, QSO, POTA activation, contest, fox hunt, or other real operating opportunity.
Help members find events, contribute content, log activity, and stay involved between meetings.
Support weather awareness, ARES, public service, communications readiness, and local technical knowledge.
Connect curious visitors to hams, new hams to mentors, and radio operators to one another.
The site is organized around outcomes, not software.
Sophistication underneath. Simplicity for the visitor.
WC4DC increasingly integrates live radio, weather, event, learning, reporting, and member data. The visitor should not have to understand that architecture. The site should answer practical questions in normal language and reveal more detail only when it is useful.
