The WC4DC calendar is intended to be the club’s single place to see what is happening and when. It can contain both WC4DC activities and selected outside amateur-radio opportunities.
WC4DC events
Meetings, nets tied to a date, breakfasts, VE sessions, public-service activities, POTA days, Fox Hunts, and other club activities are normal WC4DC calendar events. Open the event details before traveling in case the time, location, coordination frequency, or weather plan changed.
Around Amateur Radio
Selected contests and QSO parties may be imported from approved external sources and are marked as Around Amateur Radio rather than WC4DC-sponsored activities. Regional hamfests and conventions can also be added when an approved source or coordinator entry is available. Source attribution is kept with imported events so visitors can tell who is actually organizing them.
Local Contests and Fox Hunts
Local Contests have their own rules, scoring, logger/results, and standings. A contest can also create and maintain its Events Calendar entry automatically, so the date/time and the competition are connected instead of being maintained in two places.
Fox Hunt / ARDF is a first-class contest type. A hunt page can show the start location, call-up/coordination repeater or channel, whether the fox frequency will be announced later, hunt rules, and results. When a Fox Hunt is competitive, use its contest page as the source of truth and let it generate the calendar event.
